As I began to fade, I looked to the future, seeing only darkness, a slow but overwhelming power destined to swallow everything.
All would fall because of my failure.
As the last breath of my consciousness began to leave me, I looked one last time into the midst of the deepest dark, and glimpsed a flicker of light, a change...hope, but also the darkness. A boy with a soul so unique, not even I could contemplate what he could become, for he held the power to right the past or bring about the eternal twilight.
