About the Author

Sandy was born and raised in Western New York, growing up in a large family with many animals. With a BA degree, studies in elementary education influenced Sandy’s lifetime involvement in children’s programs for church and schools. Creative drawings in pen and ink began on a twenty-fifth anniversary trip to Alaska. Other favorite activities include arts and crafts, cooking, nature, photography, reading, singing, and travel. A love for animals inspired both the composition and illustrations of this book. Happily, Sandy’s family live in their own Woody Acres with Nutley’s cousins.
