Purpose: Based on years of experience and evidence-based research, the authors share their knowledge to help ensure that nursing home residents receive the best care possible. The authors focus is to: improve knowledge on quality of care nursing home to nursing home, and country to country; share experiences in the multiple aspects of nursing home care and management; share the knowledge from new evidence-based medicine, evidence-based nursing and social care, and clinical research — for a long time, clinical research has been excluded from the nursing home setting, but it is only by translating evidence from clinical, nursing, social, and psychological research that we will be able to improve our practice and share our experiences; create a community of health and social care professionals, practice leaders, and managers to improve our work.
