The previous edition of this book in 1976 was titled "The Optical Illusion Book," and in this revised edition, Simon brings the amazing world of optical illusions up to date. He showssome of the secrets behind many classical illusions and explains their reasons. The section on optical illusions in classical art is illuminating, and the various drawings and puzzlingillustrations challenge the mind. Simon is one of the most prolific writers on scientific data for young people, and this book certainly meets his standards.
