"The elevator dings its arrival, somehow uninterrupted through twenty some-odd floors, as if the entire building is conspiring to give Ryan the boot as quickly as possible. He quickly scans his surroundings and finds himself in more of a foyer than an individual office, despite his previous conceptions. He takes a few more steps into the area, aiming to take a seat on the couch and rifle through a coffee table book for something interesting while he waits, but a throat clearing from directly behind him makes him jump and spin around instead."
