About the Author

Born and raised in Ohio, Kelly Jones and moved to Texas at 17. Though she has spent most of her adult life in the field of Ophthalmology, she realized that dedicating her life to writing for children is her true passion. Kelly began embarking on her dream by writing the wildly popular children’s series, “The Adventure Tree.” She quickly garnered national attention and praise for the inspiring and encouraging messages that her books had to offer. Realizing that she wanted to reach out to a larger audience, she began creating her newest series Notorious Nora. “We all have a moral obligation to touch the life of a child in a positive way. They are our future. I truly believe that we can change the world through them. My work is about more than just entertaining children, but it’s about helping kids deal with everyday experiences. “I wrote Notorious Nora to embrace, encourage and entertain the middle reader. I want to make sure that every child from every race and religion can enjoy it.” Her ultimate goal for Notorious Nora is to see it turned into a movie. Kelly believes in giving back and serves her community by volunteering in programs dedicated to serving children.
