Overview

Cameron Hale never expected to interact with an imaginary friend again. He soon finds that doing so in adulthood leads to heavy bouts of anxiety and a fear for his own sanity.

Thrust into a stint of court-mandated psychiatry, Cameron is forced to recognize the growing chaos in his life. His imagination has become tangible, seeping its way into most situations. What starts as flickering lights shifts into confusing instances of dissociation and malfunctioning electronics. Bouts of paranoia and depression start to impact his failing business and strained relationships. Exasperated by the instability, Cameron's former imaginary friend returns to haunt his subconscious.

Cameron knows that his distinction between fantasy and reality is becoming muddled. That strange phenomena starting to follow him only draws more attention to his worsening conditions. He is well aware that having someone endlessly speaking in his ear and hijacking his dreams is a living nightmare. Finding a girlfriend and keeping his business afloat have become Herculean tasks, undercut by imaginary distractions. Even basic matters of health and hygiene prove to be pitfalls spurred by his 'friend'.

With the battle for his own sanity (and free-will) taking place, Cameron is forced to regain control over his imagination. He must, before it all completely wrecks what remains of his reality.

About the Author

Brandon Grisham is a 20-something author from Mississippi. He decided to become a novelist at the age of seven after reading the works of Roald Dahl.

While at college, he practiced writing by taking an editor role at his school paper, listened to podcasts like Writing Excuses, and slowly worked on his numerous novel projects. As a perpetual technology geek, Brandon received his bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems. He continues his newspaper roots by managing the websites for over 20+ newspapers in Mississippi.

In his spare time, he became a YouTube partner, created a successful Etsy store, and started performing improv/standup comedy. He slowly cultivated imaginary fans, who swarmed to purchase his novels. They regularly hated the opening, but grew attached to the characters after about seven chapters.

Brandon Grisham is the bestselling author of a few novels. Hopefully you enjoy his work enough to improve that.
