Overview

Japan of the 15th century and Kharkiv of the 20th century. The legendary actors of the Noh theater and our contemporaries, the art of ancient actors and the current "fights without rules", the crooked streets of Kyoto and the neon colorful avenues. An encounter with a faceless creature in a night cemetery and an advertisement with an amazing slogan: "Your task is to survive!" The young actor Motoyoshi, the son of the great "Buddha of actors", kills a noperapon thief with a wooden sword; Vladimir Monakhov, an osteochondrotic intellectual, kills an American fighter at a commercial tournament; one person becomes a mirror, the other a weapon, and Death follows the road to the temple of Pure Waters. There is a worm in everyone who wants to get everything for free and at once. But when we receive, we cease to be human. The authors explore in the novel the nature of everyday consciousness, faced with the inexplicable. Why suffer, doubt, delve into yourself? You just need to blindly believe the next sensational announcement. And you become a Master, a Miracle Worker. But there is a price to pay for every deal.
