About the Author

Allow me to introduce myself I'm Clint McLaughlin. After a successful career teaching trumpet for almost 40 years and I went back to school and got training in counseling. In 2000; I started to study theology and relationship counseling and became Ordained in 2006. I do work with Couples to improve their relationships. Writing books on marriage counseling, dating advice and gay rights seemed to fit in with my Christian Outreach. My Ordained title has nothing to do with music and most of my trumpet books were written before I was Ordained. I did however; get 2 college degrees in Music. Here are my trumpet teaching credentials. I've been doing Private Consultations on Embouchure Development since 1974, Custom Mouthpieces since 1977 & Trumpet Customizing since 1980. I studied under two instrument designers, one of Mr. H.L. Clarke’s students, one of Dr. Stevens students and finally under Don "JAKE" Jacoby (Listed as one of the top 5 trumpet players of the 50's & 60's & a graduate of the E.S. Williams School of Music). My trumpet lessons and trumpet books have been mentioned and quoted in clinics, dissertations, forums, magazines, other books, web sites and even youtube videos. Many of my trumpet students play and teach professionally and some have written books. My hobby for roughly 40 years was martial arts. I started studying Martial arts when I was 10 and trained in 8 styles. I taught martial arts in a large gym with over 1200 students for several years; before I wrote my self defense book.
