Overview

This extraordinary autobiography is about an immigrant family that left their homeland of Sicily when they were very young and came with their families to America. My mother was only eight years old when she was brought here, but never forgot her home country. She moved to the Lower East Side of New York City and that was where her American life started. My father was only seventeen months when he immigrated here. This memoir is a story of how they met, got married, and raised a family of seven children in the immigration areas of Rochester, New York. You will see what it was like to be a child of an immigrant Italian family.

I am telling this story from a young boy's born in 1935 to the aged man I am now. This book tells you about my Sicilian parents/grandparents, my fascinating childhood with all my sisters and friends in the streets of Rochester, New York through all my global leisure and career travels, meeting many famous people from rock bands to actors to government officials. It is very intriguing and exciting with a lot of humor.

I hope you enjoy looking into my lifetime. It is a lifetime like no other, but has made me humble and proud of who I am and my heritage.
