About the Author

Bill Gunston is one of the most internationally published and respected military and aviation writers, with 380 published works. An RAF pilot from 1945–48, he went on to become technical editor of Flight, technology editor of Science Journal and editor of Jane’s Aero-Engines. His is the author of The Development of Jet and Turbo Aero, The World Encyclopedia of Aero Engines, and The World Encyclopedia of Aircraft Manufacturers.
