Overview

Scarred and wounded both physically and mentally, Kevin "Tully" Tullman is a shell of the young man he'd been after Halloween night two years ago. He and two friends had decided to prank the old witch who lived alone in the woods with her cats. Josie Howard might be long gone now, along with her crazy tales of local boogeyman Mister Jack, but something even worse lurks in the woods outside of town. Something dark, ravenous, and utterly horrifying.

After another tragedy befalls the Tullman family, Tully becomes consumed with his own inner darkness and a thirst for revenge. The focus for his rage is a young girl named Misty Wilkes, who used to look after Josie. Misty glimpsed that dark thing in the woods one night, and now, she doesn't know what to fear more... it or what Tully is becoming.

About the Author

Chris Kosarich is an author of horror fiction, nonfiction, and some other stuff he wouldn't want his parents to read. His short fiction has appeared in various small-press publications such as IMPALER, BLACK MOON, MALEFICA, THE SWAMP, and VIVID. For 4 years, he wrote the column, Fiendish Endeavors, for the Horror Writers Association monthly newsletter. His e-book shorts, CLOWNING AROUND and THE LAST CHORD, can be found at the usual online venues. His horror novellas, MISTER JACK and ROSEBLOOD, are available in e-book and trade paperback. Recently, he completed the sci-fi horror novel, THE RAVENING, and started working on a follow-up novel called ISLAND OF DEVILS.
