About the Author


Richard Hengist Horne (1802-1884), was an English poet and critic, best known for his epic poem Orion. He traveled widely, serving in the Mexican navy and living in Australia as a civil servant, but he always returned to England. His books include Australian Autobiography, The Death of Marlowe, and Prometheus the Fire-bringer.
