New Radeaux is a bustling city with three main districts. The city seems filled with magic and wonder to everyone who visited it. To the locals, it's just another crime-ridden city, filled with theft and murder everywhere. Murder is something Detective Chelsea Monroe is all too familiar with. As a homicide detective, she thought she had seen it all until she walked into her latest case.
A gruesome murder of a young man leads Monroe and her partner, Detective Allen Roger, into a spiraling descent of mad theories and absurd ideas. Ideas of vampires and witches surrounded the case, much to Monroe's disapproval. Roger's superstitions and Monroe's skepticism butt heads as they try to figure out who would be capable of such a heinous crime.
As the case progresses, a lead that seemed insane and improbable comes to light from an unlikely source. It leads them to learn their city was even darker than they realized and held secrets that were hard to believe. Secrets that made Monroe realize her new friend might be hiding more from her than she realized.
