With over forty years of motorcycling experience I have by far seen my fair share of mistakes that motorcyclists, including myself, have made. One of the biggest mistakes I see is people trying to learn too fast or trying to learn things that they don't need to know in their early stages of riding. People often forget to begin at the beginning. A child doesn't walk first they crawl. The same thing goes for speech. A child starts out making sounds before they begin to formulate words. A lot of this is sometimes caused by people who are trying to be helpful by giving advice but are just confusing and scaring new riders unnecessarily. Make no mistake, motorcycling has its dangers just like anything else in life, but continual training will help you to deal with whatever may come your way.
