About the Author

Robert Lee Frost (1874 – 1963) was an American poet, known for his authentic depictions of rural life and his broad knowledge and command of American colloquial speech. A four-time Pulitzer prize-winner, Frost frequently wrote about rural life in New England, as in the memorable “Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening”, and examined complex social and philosophical themes through the emerging American language. In 1961 he was named Poet Laureate of the State of Vermont.
