New Every Morning (Women Devotional)

"Through the Lord's mercies, we are not consumed because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22, 23

These are words of hope and joy. Each day we open our eyes is a new opportunity to live for God, to walk closer to Him, to spend more time in His Word, to talk more often to Him, and to live a life that brings Him honor and praise.

As daughters of God, we face many challenges. Sometimes we doubt God's goodness and His ability to help when we call. Sometimes we feel He is not near or has no time to hear our tiny prayer over those of billions of people around the world. But God's Word reminds us that God is merciful and full of compassion and that He sees and knows us by name (Isaiah 43:1).

El Roi is a precious name for God that means "The God Who Sees Me" and refers to Hagar's experience in the desert (Genesis 16:13). My sisters, God sees each one of us individually. So when you begin your day by looking up to our Father in prayer, remember He is looking down at you. He sees you and has blessed you with a new morning, a new day to live for Him.
