This story is about some middle class neighbors that complain about two elderly best friends that moved across the street from them in a not-so-fortunate home. The two guys are working to fix the place up. Mr. Perkins is a very humble man just trying to take care of his dying best friend. The middle-class neighbors, especially Ms. Katrina, encourage the rest of them to turn their noses up at the least fortunate neighbors; however, during all the discomfort, Ms. Perkins keeps being humble and waves and speaks to the other neighbors, even though the other neighbors may not speak or wave back. Soon, about a month after tragedy occurs, Mr. Perkins' friend passes away and the neighbors go over to visit and be nosey. They soon find out that there is a beautiful sight to see when they walk into the house.
