Nevaeh is a 14-year-old girl lingering in Pennsylvania at the start of this story around the 2000s- in a town that to here is just as backward as her name- with about the same meaning, that lives a life of bullying, and feels that death is a way out; yet before she passes she lives her life out seeing all that she has lost by choosing to pass far too young. This leads to a fantasy saga of her becoming a fallen angel and then being lost in the mind of another, named Naddalin, and along the way she meets many others, that remember her as the girl who existed.
