Overview

This text provides a concise yet comprehensive review of common neurologic disorders. The pathophysiology, presentation, diagnosis, and management of these entities is discussed in detail in a clear, easy to understand format. Purpose: The purpose is to provide clear diagnostic protocols and appropriate therapeutic modalities for common neurotologic pathologies. The book meets these objectives using a case-based model, with suggestions for further reading.
Audience: The book is designed for students, residents, and providers who manage patients with complex neurological signs and symptoms. The other books in this series are geared toward neurologists, internal medicine physicians, pediatricians, and emergency room physicians. Any of these providers may find the book helpful for addressing common symptoms, such as tinnitus and vertigo, that they see in various care settings.
Features: The focus of the book is on hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo/disequilibrium, facial neuropathy, and complications of otitis media. The best features are the case-based format, short chapters, clear key point summaries, and images of pertinent radiological findings.
