Description: This book covers in detail basic and clinical neuroanatomy with great numbers of unique figures. The previous edition was published in March 2012.
Purpose: The book's main purpose is to provide comprehensive knowledge regarding basic neuroanatomy and its implications in daily clinical neurology practice. The objectives are worthy and this book definitely adds great resources to clinical medicine and gives a clear picture of understanding neuroanatomy.
Audience: This book targets and meets the needs of medical students, residents, practicing neurologists, and other physicians who have an interest in clinical neurology. The author is an authority in neurology and clinical neuroanatomy based on his research expertise and credentials.
Features: This book discusses brain connections that control different body parts, their role in the function of the body parts, and the effect of injury or damage to these connections. The best aspects are the book's clinical vignettes and figures. It also covers a difficult topic in a very palatable way. Recommended modifications that might be helpful to readers include bulleted words in boxes. Otherwise, all areas are well covered in this book.
Assessment: This book is a great resource in the fields of neurology and clinical neuroanatomy. It will tremendously help students, residents, clinicians, and many more in the field of medicine. Not every clinical neuroanatomy book includes clinical vignettes, which makes this book different from others and definitely justifies the updated edition.
