Studly and Neenee are the main characters in the yarn part of the book, and they have some whoppers, wacky adventures, and whimsy in their lives - some of it entirely true, some embellished, and some strictly fiction.
There is a pen and a treasure discovered which leads back to a Creative Writing teacher and a grandfather that left a clue of his journeys. The two come together to give Neenee inspiration, life lessons, and advice to her boys about the importance of kindness, working hard, having fun, and seeking truth. The poetry transitions from early poems of school work to personal honors about the people in the writer's life.
There is a puzzle running throughout ...well, you'll have to figure it out. Quirky, right?
* On the left page, you will find the explanation: person, place, event, notes about, feelings, or reason for the poem. This is the true, auto-biographical part.
* There is a yarn in the last paragraph of the left page which continues throughout the book, some parts may be true, some may be completely fiction. It is a fun story. It includes a puzzle that you'll learn about later.
