About the Author

George Lyons is emeritus professor of New Testament at Northwest Nazarene University. For 36 years, he taught New Testament and Greek, first at Olivet Nazarene University and then at Northwest Nazarene University. He earned a B.A. in biblical literature at Olivet Nazarene College, an M.Div. at Nazarene Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in New Testament studies at Emory University.

T. Scott Daniels is senior pastor of Nampa College Church of the Nazarene and Pastoral Scholar in Residence at Northwest Nazarene University. He has pastured in Pasadena, California, and Richardson, Texas. He taught Theology and Ethics at Southern Nazarene University and served as dean at Azusa Pacific University and Seminary. He earned a B.A. in theology at Northwest Nazarene University and an M.Div. and a Ph.D. in theological ethics at Fuller Theological Seminary.
