Overview

Naturally Breslov is a feast for the eyes and soul. Over 130 healthy whole food recipes. Created by a gifted fine artist and gourmet natural chef, this unique cookbook combines more than one hundred fifty recipes of healthful and delicious foods with original paintings and drawings, interspersed with quotes from the mystical teachings of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov.

“Cooking, art, and Torah engage the physical, emotional and spiritual parts of a person,” the author points out. Surely all three dimensions will be uplifted by this creative book.

You will be inspired when reading the quotes, emotionally moved when looking at the images, and nourished by the culinary masterpieces which these low-fat low-sugar recipes enable you to serve your family members and guests.

Cooking should be fun, creative and simple. Just add a pinch of hisbodedus (speaking to God in your own words) as the ingredients are simmering; everything will come out wonderfully!

About the Author

Atara London Grenadir, MFA ATR-BC is an accomplished artist whose mystical abstract paintings have been exhibited in galleries and museums across the U.S. She teaches drawing, painting and art therapy at Touro College, Brooklyn, NY. Her previous teaching posts in her native Oklahoma include the University of Oklahoma, East Central University and the Charles B. Goddard Art Center. In addition, she is a board-certified art therapist and has been working in that field for more than a decade. The content of her art has evolved to express her spiritual search through vivid colors and semi-abstract forms. One series is based on the biblical matriarchs; another on images derived from the works of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov and another on the Third Temple. Her lifelong interest in natural cooking has led her to combine her diverse talents and skills to create a book that nourishes the mind, body, and soul with the “trademark” of Breslov: Simplicity and joy.

Atara is married to Aharon Yeshaya Grenadir, a computer systems analyst, instructor of mathematics at Touro College and teacher of Chassidic thought for The Breslov Center for Spirituality and Inner Growth in New York.
