Overview

Remembered as the father of modern horror, H.P. Lovecraft is best known for tales of terror, cosmic abominations and especially his most famous creation, the dreaded Cthulhu! Few realize, however, the true creative breadth and depth spanned by Lovecraft, who penned stories of horror but also of fantasy, science fiction and even humor.

In Mythos, writer Brandon Barrows and artist Hugo Petrus go beyond tentacles and evil gods to explore the rare corners and the myriad worlds created by H.P. Lovecraft, brought to you as an adapted graphic novel! Some of the stories contained within: Pickman's Model, The Strange High House in the Mist, The Curse of Yig, The White Ship, The Beast in the Cave, along with others to entertain. Collects comic book issues 1-4.

About the Author

Brandon Barrows lives in the shadow-haunted hills of Vermont, the last bastion of Lovecraft's New England writing comic books, prose and poetry. His detective comic series JACK HAMMER (Action Lab Comics) was a nominee for the Project Fanboy Award in the "Best Rookie Series"category in 2010. Other comics include the sci-fi graphic novel VOYAGA (Markosia), appearances in HEAVY METAL magazine, the true-crime web-comic THE CRIME QUIRKS GAZETTE and numerous one-shot comics. His prose story collections include THE ALTAR IN THE HILLS (Raven Warren Publishing) and THE CASTLE-TOWN TRAGEDY (Dunham's Manor Press) and both will delight fans of Lovecraftian weird fiction.

Hugo Petrus (Menorca, 1981) always wanted to become a comic artist. After some struggle, the chance to go pro arrived in 2007: a short story called Fracture (Dark Horse) written by Alex deCampi, published in 2009 as part of the anthology Noir. After that, work kept on coming from publishers such as Marvel (The Man in the Iron Mask, The Three Musketeers, Pride & Prejudice...), Dynamite (Rise of the Dead), IDW (The A-Team), Archaia and most recently, inking DC's Midnighter.
