About the Author

Brittney is a Michigan native, and is her mom’s caregiver and advocate. She became a caregiver at the age of 23; and struggled immensely with her new role. From juggling a job with expanding duties, to learning how to care for an adult who just prior was capable of her own maintenance. Since childhood Brittney has had a way with words, and she turned to this gift to help her cope with tragedy. She is not formally trained in the medical field but did not hesitate to care for her mom.
