What People are Saying About This

From the Publisher

My Other Self captures something mysterious and elusive: the gentle, challenging, and compassionate voice of Christ. This book is a long, impassioned prayer of hope and a steady reassurance for a confused and anxious world. Across the decades, it still speaks to our times. This book is so clearly written, and so passionately articulated that you can’t help but want to accompany Clarence Enzler on this journey.” —From the foreword by Deacon Greg Kandra, Catholic journalist, author, and creator of The Deacon’s Bench blog

“In order to surrender my life to Christ, I need something more than the knowledge that he is real and speaks the truth. He needs to become real to me and speak directly to my heart. In My Other Self, Clarence Enzler makes that happen. When I open this book, Jesus becomes my spiritual director and guides me through each day. There’s an empty space in my bookcase reserved for this masterpiece and one of these days I'll put it down long enough to place it there!” —Gary Zimak, Radio host, speaker and author of Let Go of Anger and Stress!

“Clarence Enzler speaks of the need for surrender, detachment, prayer, and developing virtue. His directions are simple and straightforward, always loving and very practical. Enzler makes holiness seem possible, even in the midst of our brokenness. Every page of this book contains wisdom and offers much to reflect on. My Other Self is the type of book you should refer to again and again as you progress (or perhaps take a step backward) on your spiritual journey and are in need of encouragement.” —Patrice Fagnant-MacArthur, Catholic writer, editor, and author

My Other Self is chock-full of opportunities for reflection and faith building. This is the ideal book for personal reflection during Eucharistic Adoration or simple daily meditation.” —Pete Socks, The Catholic Book Blogger and host of Off the Shelf
