About the Author

Christopher Saint Germain was born on the 17th of April, 1969 to his mother Nancy and his father James. An accident had caused his protective womb to be ruptured. He was pulled, through emergency cesarean section, one month early into the world. Drowning in the same blood that had helped to sustain him for the eight months prior, his lungs were pumped, and his tiny fragile body was placed in an incubator. His mother lay hemorrhaging in the hospital bed. Fortunately, neither Christopher nor his mother died that day. Growing up, Christopher had a voracious appetite for education. He taught himself to read at the age of three. By the time he reached eight years of age he had already read all of the Greek Tragedies. He went on to study Egyptology and the complete works of Shakespeare, but felt slightly left out in the third grade when his teacher refused to let him read the books the other children were reading, See Jane Run. Although the elementary school library held no challenges for the young man, Christopher's mother recognized his advanced skills and signed him up for summer classes; music, acting, and creative writing. Since those early years, Chris has penned a litany of poetry, over 80 songs, has written a children's story titled The Wounded Frog and recently published My Muse here on Smashwords. Christopher joined the military at the age of 19. Through his military travels he has been fortunate to see much of the world. Four years in Italy, seven years in Korea, and trips to Germany, Iraq, and other countries have given him the opportunity to study foreign cultures and relations. He is currently working on a novel, Thunder in the Land of the Morning Calm, in which he relates his adventures while touring around the peninsula of South Korea on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Chris writes: "South Korea is the black pearl of the orient. A red-headed stepchild, taking a back seat internationally to her siblings, China and Japan. Korea clings fervently to her culture while at the same time marching boldly into the future of science, medicine, and technology. "I have been fortunate to have been adopted by this strange and beautiful land. For seven years I have experienced her culture. Thunder in the Land of the Morning Calm is not a meek travel guide that gives you an outsiders glimpse through the looking glass at a foreign culture. Instead, it throws you on the back seat of a Harley Davidson motorcycle and escorts you boldly down the main streets and back alleys of a mystical land. It is the Grimoire which will teach you Korea's forgotten magic spells, and enlighten you to her often dark and hidden past." While stationed in Korea, Christopher broadened his base of esoteric knowledge by joining the fraternity of Freemasonry. He has attained the 32nd degree in the Scottish Rite and was the Charter President of Ritual Riders chapter #1 of the Widow's Sons Masonic Riders Association, Grand Chapter Washington. So in answer to his question, "Who am I that I should write?" (see My Muse) Christopher is a man with a peculiar education and a flair for communication. Through his travels he has had the opportunity to teach and to learn. He now yearns to share his experience with you.
