Canticos announces My Little Donkey / Mi Burrito, as part of its original Canticos Classics collection, the precursor to the Emmy-nominated, award-winning bilingual preschool series Canticos.

Based on the popular Venezuelan Christmas song El burrito sabanero (or The Little Donkey from the Savannah), sing and learn about a boy and his donkey's journey to Bethlehem on the night Jesus was born, in both English and Spanish. Complete with beautiful hand-drawn illustrations, this book is a great way to make learning with your little chickie special and unique in not one, but two languages.

• 8" x 7" novelty board book with silver foil stamping on both the cover and interior, and a slip case, for a very deluxe, exclusive, and festive feel.
• The spread format is an accordion fold, so the book can be opened completely, laid flat, or made to stand so children can surround themselves with the story.

About the Author

Susie Jaramillo is a mom, an artist and a creative director raising two bilingual children. She worked for many years in advertising having co-founded the vox collective, a NY-based boutique multicultural agency where she served as Chief Creative Officer until 2012. She attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn where she majored in painting and illustration.

Susie grew up between Venezuela and the United States, always going back and forth fluently between cultures. As a child, she was exposed to songs and traditions from both the United States and Latin America. To bring to life all the things she loved about her Latino culture she created Canticos and now kids of all ages can enjoy these nursery rhymes and songs! She lives in Brooklyn.
