About the Author

Pamela is originally from the small borough of Bogota, NJ. She graduated from Paramus Catholic Girls Regional High School (Paramus, NJ) in 1994. In 1995, she joined the Bogota First Aid Squad where she has volunteered since then. In 1996 she graduated from the Bergen County Police and Fire Academy (Mahwah, NJ) with her NJ Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification. She has worked in various aspects of the medical field, including as an orthodontic assistant for 8 years. In 2009, she decided that she wanted to further her medical training and was accepted into Dover Business College's School of Health Care's Licensed Practical Nurse Program in Clifton, NJ. She was on the honor roll and Dean's list while in attendance. She was pinned in April 2011. She took and passed the NCLEX-PN in June 2011 and received her LPN license in July 2011. Pamela is currently employed as a hospice nurse and is still volunteering on the Bogota First Aid Squad. She is also currently working towards her RN, ASN through Excelsior College's (Albany, NY) distance learning program. She plans to specialize in Alzheimer's Disease and hopes to one day get into Alzheimer's research.
