About the Author

Michele Hile is living on the family farm on which she was raised. After graduating from Michigan State University in 1972 and obtaining her teaching credentials, Michele accepted a teaching position with Caro Community Schools, her home school. She retired in June of 2010 after joyfully teaching thirty-eight years in the same system.

During her third year of teaching, she married her husband, Tom, who lived on his family’s farm just a half mile north of her. Together, they farmed and raised two sons, John and Allen, who both now live in the greater Detroit area.

Michele genuinely enjoys people and is very active and community-oriented. She has been an ordained interfaith minister since 1997, serving those in need.
