Overview
Even though the iPhone is amazingly easy-to-use for such a powerful device, it can be intimidating for people who aren’t used to it—this is especially true for seniors. In My iPhone for Seniors, the highly successful approach of My iPhone is tailored to meet the specific interests, needs, and even apprehensions, that seniors sometimes face when learning about technology that is new to them. The tasks in which seniors are most interested in are covered using a step-by-step approach that guides seniors as they learn about their iPhones, telling them exactly how to accomplish their goals. Topics include: setting up an iPhone, using core apps (making phone calls, taking photos and video), adding and using other apps (including FaceBook, iBooks, etc.), adjusting the iPhone’s interface to their specific needs, and understanding and protecting themselves from threats they may perceive. In addition to its tailored content, the book’s format is also designed specifically for seniors, including larger text and graphics to make the content more accessible.
My iPhone for Seniors is a visually rich, task-based guide to helps, seniors in particular, navigate the settings and features of their iPhone in a way that is clear and easy to follow. The organized, task-based format allows you to quickly find exactly the task you want to accomplish, and then shows you how to achieve it with minimal text and plenty of visual cues.
