CHAPTER 1

Grandma IS A Superhero There are some good days. Oh boy ... some really good days! Today is a really good day because I get to visit my grandma." "Mom, Dad, is it time to leave yet?" "We will be leaving very soon," Mom replied.

As mom continued to prepare for the trip, I got some of my favorite things together and patiently waited by the door. I was very excited. I could hear mom's footsteps coming toward me. I knew it was time to leave. The time had finally come! I rushed to the car.

Dad buckled my seatbelt and closed the door. I heard the car engine roar and we were on our way!

I looked out the window. The trees began to move fast, super-fast. Then, out of nowhere, I could see something flying above the trees.' I couldn't believe my eyes It was my Grandma! She was wearing a green suit and yellow cape with black boots.

"Dad! dad!" I shouted, "There's grandma. Can we please follow her?" "Where is she?" asked Dad. "Look up there above the trees!" I said. "Okay, let's go," said Dad.

We followed her to a neighborhood. She disappeared behind a big white house. Dad turned the corner and there she was rescuing a cat from a large tree.

Grandma handed the cat to a little girl standing on the sidewalk. The girl took the cat and smiled.

Grandma glanced over at me and winked. She leaped into the air and flew away.

"Dad! Hurry we're going to lose her!" Dad began to follow her again. She flew over houses and over treetops. "Come on Dad!" I said, "We are losing her!" "I have to see where she is going."
