About the Author

Iris Abbott has more than a decade of experience as a science educator. She is passionate about animals and wildlife. She hopes to pass that love on to other generations through her photography. Wildlife and nature photography has allowed her to observe and spend time in nature. She tries to capture the love and awe she feels for nature in every shot. Photography has been the easiest way for her to pass on her love of nature to other people.

The purpose of her work is to bring the audience closer to nature. It is her hope that the viewer will feel a connection to nature and the animals captured in her photos. If people feel a connection to nature and wildlife, they will be more likely to champion the cause for endangered or threatened species and help protect them before they are lost forever.
