Overview

This short story is a fantasy tale about Leah's family. It is an imaginative piece of writing and a light-hearted story suitable for all ages but especially young children. Leah wrote this when she was 13 years old. It won a Commendation from both Winchester University, and as an entry in the Pen and Ink Designs 2nd Spring Writing Competition, for being an amusing piece of work.

About the Author

I have always loved writing and spent many hours with my Grandmother developing my craft. When I was 13 years old, I wrote the fantasy story, My Family, which is really a story about - my family. Well, it's my idea of what my family was really like underneath at the time. The story was submitted into the University of Winchester Annual Competition and I won a Commendation. The reviewer sent a delightful comment saying, "... a delightful story. Leah kept me guessing right to end as to who she was." Since then I have written a number of other short stories and am now concentrating on creating a book about Creating and Decorating Cupcakes. I am hoping to be involved in all aspects of the creation including the photography and design of the book cover.

I'm an illustrator and book designer from Wales with a special interest in literature and folk dress. I'm a versatile artist and I've worked on Children's/YA to adult, including; Historical, Women's Fiction, Action, Crime and Thriller. I am particularly skilled at strong author branding on a series. I worked in-house at an independent commercial and literary publisher and also as a freelancer. I've worked for a number of publishers. No job is too big or small: from Twitter banners to full cover design.
