In addition, the book provides a helpful guide at the beginning of most chapters to aid in navigating the topics. The writing style offers enough detail and explanation for good understanding but is concise enough for a quick read.
Purpose: After reading the appropriate chapter for their child's illness or injury, parents will have the information to provide the best care and know when to seek urgent medical care, call their doctor, or stay home. The book offers accurate reassurance with what to expect, warning signs to watch for, and clear direction so caretakers know what to do. It also includes guidance on when children can return to school or normal activities. This resource will accurately and safely guide parents as they take care of their unwell child.
Audience: Parents will enjoy using this book as a reference guide to know what to do when their child is unwell. While it is not intended to be read from cover to cover in one sitting, it is targeted to expecting parents or caretakers who want to be well prepared for any situation.
