Murder Most Vital
So the doctor is known for his hot temper! That doesn't mean someone wants him dead, does it?
Gary Turner can be a bit scattered when he isn't focused on his cardiology practice. The doctor is persistent, however, and begged his best friend Gordy Baxter to open a bed and breakfast as a side venture to their medical careers. After trying to convince Gary that it was a bad idea, Gordy reluctantly agreed.
Before they opened the doors to their latest venture, the two best friends decided to take a well deserved cruise. Gary pestered the head of the cruise line for three days to let him test his 'interesting' pancake flavors on fellow cruisers. His persistence paid off, as it usually did, and he was unofficially named the breakfast sous chef.
The week-long cruise is fun, but breakfast isn't the only thing on Gary's mind. It seems that a murderer has joined them on their seafaring vacation. It's no secret that Gary has a hot temper, but does someone want him dead? When more than one body is found, Gary fears he could be next and he's ready to jump ship and swim back to shore.

With a towel thrown over his shoulder and clutching a bag of necessary bathing items, Gary headed down the hallway. He was stopped along the way by a good looking man in a suit. "Are you Gary Turner?"
"Yes, sirree! At your service!"
The man gave Gary an odd look. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"I am the man who has been serving the spectacular breakfasts on this voyage. If you'd like one of my cards..."
"You worked with Dr. Bart Nefler, right?" the man interrupted.
"Who are you?" Gary asked.
"I'm the man who was hired to put a hit on Dr. Nefler. Are you the reason his murder was carried out?"
"No, I'm not. That would be his mooching boyfriend, Anthony. Then, a day or two later, Anthony killed himself. That's what three open pill bottles suggested, anyway."
"Wrong! The bottles were planted there... by me."
"Then who killed Anthony?"
"That's what I'd like to know. Anthony was Dr. Nefler's beneficiary. Nefler was loaded."
"I have no doubt. Who is Anthony's beneciary?"
"His wife."
"What?" Gary had never heard of a wife in Anthony's life. The man was gay.
"You heard me. Her name is Cheryl Weishaar, your receptionist."
