Helping or hindering him in his quest are two of Maine’s most dominating real-life characters of the 1800s, Senator James Blaine and General Joshua Chamberlain. Besides these men, Andrew has the help of the Dog Man, a mysterious homeless man who roams the streets, gathering information but speaking only in cryptic sentences. Can Andrew find the killer? Will he truly replace his father as chief reporter for the Morning Sentinel?

About the Author

A long time newspaper reporter and teacher, Robert Kanehl has had a lifelong interest in history. This love of history has appeared in his classroom teaching as
well as his writing. Over the past few years Mr. Kanehl has been a sixth grade teacher in Hartford, Connecticut.

He has over twenty years of teaching in both Maine and Connecticut. Besides this current book, Mr. Kanehl is the author of Haunted Past and Hannah’s Ghost.

Robert Kanehl currently lives with his wife and children in Torrington, Connecticut.
