The Mulberry Harbors are a subject that in large part have been all but ignored by many historians. The sole purpose of these British designed and built prefabricated seaports was to support the Allied landings in Normandy, France where the remnants can still be seen today. The author is a life-long student of military history with the emphasis on World War II. He has written two other books on the subject and he and his wife have visited many of the actual sites that were involved. When he is not writing or working in the business that they own in Redding, California, he can usually be found riding his motorcycle, working on vintage cars or spending some quality time with their two dogs.
