About the Author

M.C. Tillson wrote the first book in her Michigan lighthouse trilogy after a visit to Copper Harbor on Upper Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula. Since that time, she has written two other lighthouse mystery trilogies: one about lighthouses on the coast of her native North Carolina and another about her adopted home in the San Francisco Bay area. M.C. Tillson loves writing children's books and especially enjoys talking with kids about their favorite books. When she's not writing or doing author visits, she might be at a baseball game cheering for the San Francisco Giants. She also likes traveling to fun places with fun people, working in her garden, playing cards, and reading. Her favorite color is green, her favorite food is anything Italian, and her biggest fan is a recalcitrant Brittany spaniel named Mercy.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Elizabeth Lee is an illustrator with a love for color and too many favorite things. When she's not drawing, she can be found writing, indulging in nature, and seeking out new inspiration. If it's a really good day, she might get to pet some dogs.
