Overview

"Mothering" contains three heart-warming, true stories that will appeal to women of all ages whether they are mothers or only thinking about becoming a mother.
The first story is told from the perspective of a mother who is accompanying her daughter in the labor room as her grandchild is being born. This intimate experience causes her to remember the times she went through childbirth. The touching moment by moment account ends with one of the most gratifying experiences a mother can have...the birth of her child.
The second story is an account of a woman who comes to know a mother in a very unusual way without ever getting to meet her.
The last story in the collection is about a feline mother and the epiphany her human friend had as a result of their relationship.

About the Author

I am a Christian wife and mother of five. My husband and I reside in London, Ky. I am an author of several books. One book, "Heartstorms," is a Christian, fiction novel. Three of my books consist of a trio of short stories. "Mothering," has three true stories about being a mother and "Life is a Comedy," is a novelette of comedic short stories that are fiction.

My books contain no curse words and are free from descriptive sexual content. However, because of some of the subject matter, they are intended for mature readers.
My world view is based on the fact that I am a Christian. Although I don't preach in my books, my characters are shaped from the perspective that there are absolutes and that God is the creator of everything.
I believe many characters in some books don't ring true because, though the writer may be an excellent wordsmith, the "how" and "why" of a person's heart is not based on the truth.
My characters are not sugar-coated personalities nor are the situations they become involved in. The drama in my books is not about high speed car chases or aliens landing in the back yard but about what goes on in a person's heart during the trials of life whether it's losing a cat or losing a romantic love.
