Overview

Most Recently Played explores a world shaded by music. An ordinary walk through a local area is transformed as the turbulent tales of the surrounding environment are expressed by songs from a music playlist, breathing life into the vicinity and visualizing and vocalizing the static. Each chapter is unique, inspired by a different song and illustrated by a different artist, the titles of each chapter are extracted lyrics from the song which inspired it. Readers can immerse themselves deeper into this world if they identify the songs...will you play along?

About the Author

Born in Montreal, Canada Sakile Johnson-Anderson spent her childhood and adolescence between Vermont, USA, and London, England. She explored her passions for creativity through playing musical instruments, creating artwork and by writing later becoming a Graphic designer after graduating from the University of Essex (England, 2017). Meeting her husband whilst studying in England, Sakile and her husband relocated to Vermont USA and now work together on creative projects including mobile gaming.
