Shaddrack Colliers is an outspoken old man living in a world of the near future. A world where medical resources are scarce and the old and sick are sent to government run care centers. A world where heartless bureaucrats decide who should get medical care and who should not. Shaddrack runs afoul of a local politician and finds himself forced into the Green Valley Care Center, a place where the sick and old are sent to die.
