About the Author

Sally Moomaw, EdD, is associate professor of early childhood education at the University of Cincinnati. She has a doctoral degree in special education and spent a long career as a preschool and kindergarten teacher and as associate director for professional development at the university's Arlitt Child Development Center. Moomaw has authored or coauthored fourteen books on early childhood curriculum, including More Than Counting, Lessons from Turtle Island, and Teaching STEM in the Early Years.

Brenda Hieronymus is an early childhood education specialist and adjunct instructor at the Arlitt Child and Family Research and Education Center at the University of Cincinnati, where she teaches young children from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, develops and implements state-of-the-art curriculum materials, and teaches college courses.
