Overview

How do you spend the darkest hours of the night, when all you have is your own company, and all those intrusive thoughts start lurking from the shadows? If we were to ask the moon, it would share chronicles of endless despair that would last a lifetime. We can only go through a whirlwind of emotional wreckage to confess how the night's darkness is the loudest, keeping our mind awake, and our thoughts spiraling out of control. There's so much to say, yet no one to listen. Who do you turn to when the light at the end of the tunnel can no longer be seen? Do you find hidden answers behind each star? Maybe the brightness of the moon will guide you towards serenity? Or is it your imaginary friend? Those are some questions I ask myself when not only my eyes can see, but my heart can also feel the chaos behind that smile that begs for a pair of ears to listen and a hand to hold. These words will keep you company on your darkest days. Whenever you feel alone, come find me.

About the Author

Moza was born and raised in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in 1994. At an early age, She felt like an outcast, not conforming to society's typical norms. Growing up with less than a handful of friends, Moza loved to read and write, and she developed an interest in abstract art. While many criticized her lack of creativity when she was young, being a person of few words, Moza prefers to display her thoughts in writing, whether it's poetry, journaling, or short passages. Her favorite poet is r.h. Sin, as the writings in his books are relatable to her. Reading various poetry books has led Moza to write her first poetry book, Moonlight Howl, as a dedication to her young sister, who has experienced several downfalls. "When the world goes against you, write." This is what Moza believed in, as the power of writing enables negative energy to flow from your hand, to the pen, and to the paper. Picking at each corner of her brain to gather an abundance of emotions, Moza feels that writing is an escape, along with other activities she enjoys doing to "zone out" from the rest of the world.
