About the Author

John Meade Falkner (1858-1932) was an English businessman, historian, and writer. While best remembered as the author of MOONFLEET, Falkner served as the chairman of arms manufacturer Armstrong Whitworth during World War I and wrote a number of histories in addition to his successful novels.
