Overview

With a focus on money and investing success, this handy, practical money and investing guide gives useful strategies, tips (and traps to avoid) to help investors choose among investment types (e.g. certificates of deposit, money market accounts, bonds, stocks, mutual funds, real estate, and futures / options contracts).
Further, each chapter starts with a poetic reflection on the theme to add some philosophical flair to the otherwise quantitative realm of money and investing. Important economic concepts are used to clearly explain investment strategies and outcomes.
Other features include: (a) extensive coverage of resources that facilitate successful investing and money management; (b) useful tips (and traps to avoid) for successful retirement (and education) investing; (c) useful contact information (telephone numbers, Web site and mailing addresses); (d) useful stock, bond, real estate, and mutual fund buying and selling tips; (e) basic financial formulas that facilitate research and well-informed investment decisions; (f) brief histories of major stock market crashes, as well as useful lessons to be learned; (g) periodic updates to help us keep up with the changing investment environment and thereby achieve successful outcomes.
Overall, this book serves as a practical money and investing guide, as well as a practical reference book on money and investing (or personal finance) for the general public.
