This a very well-written and researched book and something I wish I had read earlier in my life. If I had done so I think would have saved and invested a little more than I did back then and would have been able to retire sooner. I loved the free budget workbook. Thank goodness when I completed it I came out at about break-even point.

I actually bought this book for my teenage son ahead of starting college but in the end, I got so engrossed in it I read it all. I was surprised at how little I understood about money and the way institutions like banks work. The budget workbook section took a little time to complete but was a real eye-opener. I had no idea we spent so much on unnecessary items each year. Now we have modified our budget we are on course to add something to our savings account for the first time in ages. Awesome
