About the Author

Paul is the author of the Molly May Barf series. We asked Paul to share a little bit about himself and his work.

Q: Where are you from originally, and did you have any favorite pastimes when you were younger?
A: Well I was born in New York City, but I've spent most of my life living in New England and throughout the Southeast. I was a huge jock growing up, but that didn't compensate for the fact that I was also a huge dork.

Q: When it comes to writing fiction, do you have a philosophy?
A: Stories are driven by characters, so every story should open with a character. One of the most fundamental aspects of my writing is that my characters make mistakes, or at the very least make decisions that have consequences. And they have to because it's their responses to those mistakes and consequences that define them.

Q: Is there one question your readers tend to ask you about Molly May Barf (Part I)?
A: Everyone who reads Molly May Barf (Part I) wants to know what's hidden in the eighth-grade lounge!

Q: Do your fans have a way to keep in touch with you?
A: Absolutely. My fans are always welcome to drop me an e-mail at . I respond to each e-mail personally.
