About the Author

Professor Ilie Gyurcsik worked for the West University of Timisoara, Romania between 1967-1980 as a professor of Russian Literature. From 1992 until he retired, he taught Comparative Literature, Semiotics, and Hermeneutics for the Department of Romanian and Comparative Literature of the West University of Timisoara. His life time effort built a strong tradition in Comparative Literature for the West University of Timisoara.
